The meetings brought together senior leadership from both organisations to review the progress of ongoing business initiatives and to further define the roadmap for cooperation in Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region.
Representing TransRegion were Mr. Shaikh Abdullillah Zahid, Chairman; Mr. Ehab Saeed, Chief Executive Officer; Mr. Abdul Rahman Zahid, Director; and Mr. Aslam Khan, CEO, World Rep.
Representing Invade Agro Global were Mr. Kamlesh Chotalia, Chairman, Group / Executive Director; Dr. M. Y. Farooqui, Director – KSA; Mr. Paras Suru, Director – KSA; and Mr. Pratik Jam, Director – GCC.
The meeting focused on finalising key areas of cooperation under the proposed Joint Venture Company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Both parties discussed immediate business initiatives as well as future agro-processing opportunities that can support agriculture, food security, trading, value addition, and technology-led business growth in the region.
Strengthening IAG’s Saudi Arabia Presence
IAG shared an update on the acquisition of a company in the United Arab Emirates. The company documents are currently under attestation with MoFA, UAE, and the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in the UAE. Once the attestation process is completed, IAG will initiate the process of setting up its Saudi Arabian subsidiary.
This Saudi subsidiary will create the foundation for the proposed Joint Venture Company between IAG’s Saudi entity and TransRegion. The JV is expected to strengthen IAG’s presence in the region and support sourcing, trading, distribution, processing, and broader business activities across Saudi Arabia and GCC markets.
Both parties agreed to nominate their respective legal representatives to begin discussions on the legal and financial structure of the proposed joint venture. The objective is to move forward quickly and create a strong operating platform for local business activities in Saudi Arabia.
Immediate Trading Opportunities
A major part of the discussion focused on beginning trading operations at the earliest opportunity.
The initial priority products identified for trading include coffee beans, including Arabica and Robusta; cocoa; vanilla; spices; palm dates; and palm date products.
Both organisations agreed to immediately begin evaluating sourcing channels, customer opportunities, regulatory requirements, and commercial arrangements for these products. The aim is to create a structured trading model that can be launched as soon as practicable.
This trading initiative is expected to support regional demand across Saudi Arabia and GCC markets while also creating a strong foundation for long-term sourcing and distribution partnerships.
Coffee Processing Plant in Saudi Arabia
The parties also discussed the establishment of a coffee processing facility in Saudi Arabia.
The proposed facility may include roasting, grinding, packaging, and value-added coffee products. A joint feasibility assessment and business plan will be prepared to evaluate investment requirements, plant and machinery needs, processing capacity, location, sourcing strategy, and market opportunities.
This project is aligned with IAG’s larger vision of moving beyond commodity trading into value-added agro-processing and branded food opportunities.
Farida Farm Management Services
TransRegion invited IAG to submit a proposal for the management and scientific development of Farida Farm, located in Al Qassim.
The objective is to improve the productivity of the farm through scientific agricultural practices, specialist manpower deployment, better resource utilisation, and structured farm management systems.
IAG agreed to prepare a detailed proposal covering the plan of action, manpower requirements, advisory framework, operational improvements, and implementation approach. Once submitted, the proposal will be reviewed by TransRegion, and both parties will work towards defining the scope of services, performance parameters, commercial terms, and execution timelines.
This initiative has the potential to create a meaningful agricultural advisory and farm management model under the IAG management framework.
Invade Code and Technology Partnership in KSA
A key highlight of the meeting was the introduction of Invade Code Limited, IAG’s technology and IT services company.
Invade Code presented its capabilities and services, opening discussions around a possible technology partnership with TransRegion in Saudi Arabia. The discussion focused on how Invade Code can support digital transformation, business systems, ERP platforms, agri-tech solutions, supply chain intelligence, automation, and technology-led operating models for the Saudi and GCC markets.
The parties also discussed the possibility of setting up a technology base in KSA to support future business operations, agri-trading platforms, farm management systems, food processing operations, and digital infrastructure for the proposed joint venture.
Further discussions will take place during the forthcoming visit of the Invade Code team to Jeddah, where both parties will explore areas of synergy and evaluate how Invade Code’s technology capabilities can be deployed in Saudi Arabia.
This marks an important step in IAG’s larger plan to combine agriculture, food processing, trading, and technology under one integrated growth framework.
Future Agro-Processing Projects
Under Phase II of the collaboration, both parties discussed the development of future agro-processing facilities in Saudi Arabia.
The proposed projects include a cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil processing plant, a tomato puree and tomato ketchup processing facility, a ginger processing and packaging unit, and an onion processing and packaging unit.
Both parties agreed to undertake market assessments and preliminary feasibility studies for these projects. The projects will be prioritised based on market demand, investment requirements, raw material availability, and expected returns.
These future projects are expected to support local value addition, food processing capacity, supply chain development, and long-term agricultural growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
A Long-Term Strategic Partnership
The meetings concluded with both TransRegion and IAG reaffirming their commitment to developing a long-term strategic partnership in agriculture, food processing, trading, farm management, and technology-led business systems within Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region.
Both organisations agreed to maintain regular communication and schedule follow-up meetings to review progress on the agreed action items.
Invade Agro Global expressed its sincere appreciation to the TransRegion team, especially Chairman Mr. Shaikh Abdullillah Zahid, for hosting the IAG Directors and extending excellent hospitality during the visit.
The engagement marks a significant step forward in IAG’s regional expansion journey, strengthening its commitment to agriculture, food security, sustainable processing, international trade, and technology-driven growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
